(1) Indexing Starting Block

Runes are set to begin on the next Bitcoin halving (block 840,000). As Dogecoin has much faster block times than Bitcoin, Doge passed this block number long ago. Dogecoin also no longer experiences reward halvings, so a substitute to this parameter is required.

I think going with a rather obvious option with a strong reference to Bitcoin is the best way to go:

  • 02.10.2024 08:04:58 (UTC) - Block 5,084,000

I propose this will thus act as the starting block of indexing for Dunes.
